SEACO Group offers a specialised range of Thermiculite® compression seal materials developed for use in Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) and Solid Oxide Electrolyser (SOE) applications. Our materials are designed to meet specific industry requirements and can be supplied in various thicknesses and geometries to perfectly match your stack design or system requirements.
Specially developed for and proven in applications for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells and Electrolysers. Thermiculite® 866 is designed for metal supported cells and requires a minimum gasket stress of 3 to 5 MPa to ensure an acceptable seal.
This variant offers higher compression capacity at low loads, making it suitable for a wider range of SOFC/SOE applications. It offers the same benefits as Thermiculite® 866, but can also seal effectively at very low loads.
