Flexitallic TR160 / TH894 Stem Sets are comprised of multiple
die-formed rings and loose formed / partially blocked
compression packing manufactured from Thermiculite®.
Flexitallic TR160 / TH894 Stem Sets have been developed
primarily for high temperature Molten Salt Valve applications. Each
set is comprised of a TH894 header and footer ring, loosely blocked
to size and shape with a single scarf cut, with two to six TR160
dieformed central rings (stuffing box depth dependent). As standard,
the TR160 components are supplied as solid rings, however, they can
be split in half to aid installation. Thermiculite® possesses excellent
thermal and chemical resistance, consequently, Flexitallic TR160 /
TH894 Stem Sets are especially suitable for ‘Molten Salt’ applications
where graphite and standard stem packing materials are both
chemically and thermally degraded.
